Wedding season is right around the corner! The next few months are going to be the busiest months of the year for every bride-to-be. Trust me, in order for everything to go smoothly, it’s important that you stay focused during the entire course of your planning. This is why, we think now is a fantastic time to review the 3 Golden rules to planning a wedding:

  1. “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today”
We agree that it may sound cliche but nevertheless this saying is applicable when it comes to planning a wedding. It may seem like your wedding checklist keeps growing, but putting off tasks until later won’t help the situation. Just remember that anything left for last minute will usually be:

    - less quality
    - more expensive
    - further from what you expected

  2. “Stick to your budget”
You have probably heard this a million times, but that is probably because it should remember. Having a well thought out budget makes planning a wedding a so much easier. With a solid budget you won’t have to worry about going bankrupt because of your wedding, and you’ll save time by not pursuing options you can’t afford.
  3. “Get Everything In Writing”
The world is an ugly place when it comes to money and wedding deals are no exception. There are a lot of crooked businesses in the wedding industry waiting to take advantage of starry-eyed couples. Don’t let them ruin your wedding! You should have every purchase agreement in writing, to ensure you get exactly what you paid for. Take it one step further and be sure to ask for references from each wedding vendor you work with.

And that’s it! We’re positive that if you don’t break these 3 rules, your wedding will be 3 steps closer to perfection!

Do you have any other “Rules” that have helped you plan your wedding? Let us know, I am sure every bride can benefit from your experience.
