This weekend I did a few things for myself - went in for some laser hair removal, painted my toenails and of course, did a lot of online wedding work.
Anyway, as I was sitting waiting for one of my treatments, I chatted briefly with a woman who attended a bridal shower this past weekend. She described it as one of the prettiest bridal showers she’s ever been to.
It took place at the clubhouse at ChampionsGate in Orlando, FL. It’s located about 10 minutes away from Disney World, but isn’t a part of the tourist areas. Their clubhouse accomodates about 150 guests, but this bridal shower happened to have about 40 guests. The wedding will have about 175 guests, but will not take place in the same location.
The bride’s friends all got together and threw her a Tea Party Bridal Shower. As decor, they decided to hang their own wedding dresses along the walls between the windows. It is one of the most unique ideas (and expensive if you think about the costs for all the bridal dresses) for a decorating a bridal shower.
The tables and chairs were carefully covered with fine linen and on top of the tables were the finest sets of china teacups and plates.
Hearing this woman describe the bridal shower just got my imagination going. I will try to put up photos if I can retrieve them. If I were throwing a bridal shower, I would take this idea and run with it! It sounds like so much fun to put together!
