You’re girlfriend just told you she got a great deal on “Really Cheap Wedding Favors“. You look at her favors and instantly think to yourself “It isn’t a deal if the wedding favors look Cheap” OK I agree, that was a little mean, but every bride knows that in the wedding planning world you get what you pay for, right?
WRONG!!!
There are plenty of ways to find a great deal on wedding favors without having to sacrifice the overall beauty of your wedding. Today’s brides are smart and know that with just a few ounces of effort and some clever planning they can get whatever they want
We interviewed 3 different brides that were married at our local Church organization here in Orlando, FL and asked them:
“What was your secrete to finding gorgeous wedding favors for cheap?”
- Buy Something Simple and Add the Extras Yourself. - “I first found an image of the vase wedding favor I wanted. Of course, the favor was $4 each and with over 200 guests, buying the favor was just not an option. So, I looked at the favor closely and realized that what I really liked about it was the lace detail around the tip of the vase. It was right then that I realized I could save hundreds by just buying a simple vase at the dollar store and adding the lace and details myself. It ended being a great idea. I actually got my friends and cousins to help out and we made a party out of the whole process!”
- Jessica Sampson - Pick a Theme and Buy different Favors that Match that Theme. - “I am a huge bargain shopper. I only buy something if it’s on sale. So when it came to buying my wedding favors I knew I would end up finding my first choice favor on sale sooner or later. The problem that I ran into is that every store that had the favor I wanted, never had the quantity I needed! After some quick brainstorming I started thinking that life would be so much easier if I was not always looking for 300 of the same thing! So I picked a theme (“flowers”) and bought whatever favor was on sale that matched my theme. It worked out perfectly! I had a few different kinds of wedding flower favors (frames, wedding candles, figurines, etc.) at my wedding. I saved almost $400 dollars and everyone thought my gifts were super unique!”

- Use the Extra Blooms from Your Flowers as a Wedding Favor - “I knew that I was going to have a small wedding, because my fiance and I did not have too much to spend. My only dream was to have beautiful wedding flowers at my ceremony. After picking out my flowers ( Rare Red Orchids ) I realized that there was not much left in our budget for our wedding favors. So instead of crying over split milk, I got creative and used some of the extra flowers I had from my decorations and made miniature arrangements. The arrangements looked great on the reception tables and guests were excited to be able to take home such a rare and beautiful flower!”
